Explore NightDrive and its Future
Having lived with type 1 diabetes for nearly 20 years, I've how seen how modern technology has made managing the disease easier, but I've also noticed where managing it still falls short of ideal. In my early 20s, long driving trips highlighted a clear gap: I wanted the confidence that I wouldn't experience a hyperglycemic or hypoglycemic episode, but checking my CGM readings on my phone or watch meant taking my eyes off the road and/or a hand off the steering wheel, putting myself, passengers, and others at potential risk. Not satisfied with the available options, and drawing on my computer engineering background, I started thinking about a hands-free way to monitor my glucose. That's how NightDrive was born. Since then, it's not only improved my driving experience as a diabetic, but it also revealed to me it's potential to be a flexible, portable, and glanceable CGM display—one that could enhance the lives of many others in a variety of settings.

NightDrive takes the same readings reported by your CGM and presents them on a compact, pocket-sized display in a clear, glanceable format.Ideal for those moments when you want to keep an eye on your readings and catch highs and lows early, even when your hands are busy—whether you're driving, exercising, or just going about your day.

Works with services like:

NightDrive is able to display your readings in two ways whether you are home or out and about:
1. Paired Mode
2. Free Mode
Paired Mode runs NightDrive's app on a network connected smartphone to receive readings from services like Dexcom Share or Nightscout and then sends them to the display via Bluetooth.Free Mode has NightDrive connected directly to a Wi-Fi network to receive your readings from a cloud service independent of the app running.Flipping between modes is as simple as pressing a button.
